Helix45 Pickle Smash!
Helix45 is a nonprofit providing support, resources, and programs for families impacted by neuromuscular disabilities. Our goal is to actively help these families adapt, propel, and thrive in all aspects of their everyday lives. The Helix45 Pickle Smash will be the first of its kind. We are hoping for a sold out event and to raise additional funds through our silent auction. Whether you play in or sponsor this event, it will provide vital and life-changing resources and programs to individuals with neuromuscular disabilities and their families! Anyone registered to play, sponsor, or spectate will be able to enjoy a taco bar donated by Zapata Taco Shop and Fuzzy's Tacos.
This will be an open play doubles style tournament ladder style. Players will be split by level and courts will be assigned at the beginning of the tournament. The winning pair for each court will earn one point, move up to the next court (splitting up), losing pair will receive no points and move down to the next court (splitting up). Winners at the top of the ladder will move to the lowest court (splitting up again) and depending on the number of players in the tournament the lowest court losing pair might have to sit out one game before coming back onto the courts. Each game will be standard double scoring with the first team to 11 winning by 2 or 15 minutes, whichever comes first.
